Nominations open for Prestigious Awards on Teachers Day 2024
Pune (Maharashtra), [India], 22 August 2024: The Lexicon Group of Institutes has announced the fifth season of the Smt. Kamal Sharma Award for Academic Excellence, which will take place on Teachers’ Day, 5 September 2024. This esteemed award, named in honor of the late Smt. Kamal Sharma, a dedicated Trustee whose visionary support was crucial to the institution’s growth, aims to recognize exceptional educators. Smt. Kamal Sharma’s legacy continues to inspire the field of education through this global accolade. The award categories include Exceptional Teacher – International Acclaim, Distinguished Educator Lifetime Award, Outstanding Educator Award, Innovative Teaching Award, Community Impact Award, Excellence in Student Engagement Award and Excellence Enablers Award to be felicitated on 5th September 2024.

Nominations for the award were declared open on 07 August 2024 and closes on 24 August 2024. The ceremony will be conducted in a hybrid format, with options for both online participation via MS Teams and physical attendance at The Lexicon Auditorium, located at GAT NO 726, Pune-Nagar Road, Wagholi, Pune, Maharashtra.
Educators across schools in India can apply, with the criteria that they must have a minimum of three years of experience in teaching or non-teaching roles, demonstrate the implementation of innovative practices, and engage in nation-building activities. Those interested in nominating themselves or others must submit a comprehensive portfolio, including relevant documents and media, along with the application form.
An undertaking affirming the truthfulness of the provided information is required, with acknowledgment of potential disciplinary actions for false statements. The selection of awardees will be carried out by the Elite Jury Panel based on recommendations from the Screening Committees.
