Atal Award 2022: The Atal Award is given to approximately 30 winners from India’s social, art, advertising, and corporate sectors.
Mumbai: On May 23, 2022, the honourable Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, bestowed the National ATAL AWARDS upon the Bollywood actress Poonam Jhawer at Raj Bhavan. Speaking on this occasion, the governor, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, said the contribution of Poonam Jhawer in the field of art is outstanding and encouraged all the award winners to keep contributing in their respective fields. The Atal Award was started in the year 2002 in the memory of Bharat Ratna, the late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Speaking during the awards night, which was held on the 21st in Pune, Poonam Jhawer said, “The ATAL NATIONAL AWARDS are the most prestigious for me.
Today I feel blessed to be honored to receive the ATAL Gaurav National Award as an Actress for my hard work and my dedication towards my work in the Bollywood/Entertainment industry.
We grew up following our late Prime Minister Shri Atalji’s quotes and inspiration. He has left India with great warriors from versatile fields & to receive in his honourable name has lifted my life to the next level. I promise my audience good work in the coming years. I thank the jury for selecting me and the whole team of the committee.
When media asked about Poonam Jhawer’s upcoming project, she said she is in advanced stage for a couple of OTT-based shows and she is reading some scripts. As the OTT acting is quite different from the film acting which I have done over the years, I am preparing for my role and hopefully my new avatar in the file of acting will be completely different from my previous role which I did.
