Panvel, Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: On January 19, 2026, A well-organized Science Exhibition was successfully conducted by Seva Sahayog Foundation (SSF) in collaboration with WNS Cares Foundation at Chhatrapati Shivaji Vidyalaya, Palaspe, Panvel, with the aim of nurturing scientific thinking, creativity, and innovation among school students.

The exhibition saw enthusiastic participation from 45 schools, displaying 75 innovative science models based on real-life applications. A total of 1,039 participants attended the event, including 680 student visitors, 215 student participants, 104 teachers, and 40 volunteers.

The programme began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and Saraswati Poojan, followed by a welcome song by students. The event was attended by senior education officials, scientists, academicians, and corporate representatives, lending credibility and inspiration to the initiative.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abhinandan Sah, Senior Manager – Science Vertical, Seva Sahayog Foundation, said that such exhibitions help students understand the practical relevance of science in everyday life and encourage them to develop problem-solving and research-oriented thinking from an early age.

Mr. Sudhirji Patel, Director, Seva Sahayog Foundation, stated that the foundation remains committed to empowering students through experiential learning platforms that inspire curiosity, confidence, and innovation beyond classroom education.

Highlighting corporate participation, Mrs. Mukta Dhavale, Senior Group Manager, WNS Cares Foundation, said that supporting educational initiatives like science exhibitions is essential to building future-ready generations and fostering a strong scientific mindset among young learners.Mrs Cheryl D’Costa and Mrs Rasika Gunjal also participated in the exhibition to encourage our students.

The exhibition was evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges, including Dr. Ravikant Altekar (Scientist, BARC), Mr. Ravindra Ardak (Retired Professor, VJTI), and other experts, who interacted with students and provided valuable feedback.

Outstanding projects were awarded across government, primary, and private school categories. Winners were recognized for innovative models addressing themes such as waste management, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and disaster management.

The judges interacted with students, evaluated their projects, and provided valuable guidance, encouraging critical thinking and innovation.

Top projects were awarded across different school categories. PMC School No. 8, Podi secured first place for its project Waste Rider, followed by RZP School, Nhavekhadi for Sustainable Agriculture, PMC School No. 5, Motha Khanda for Solar Energy, and RZP School, Adai for its model on natural resource-based farming.

In the primary school category, Indubai Wajekar English Medium School won first prize for its Obstacle Awareness Robot for the Blind, while Dew Drops School topped the secondary private school category with its project on Fuel Flow Meter.

The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, appreciating the efforts of students, teachers, and volunteers. The exhibition proved to be a meaningful platform for experiential learning and significantly contributed to strengthening scientific temperament among students.
