Walkaroo leads innovation in Formal shoes

New Delhi 30th, September 2021:Walkaroo, the most popular Indian footwear brand launches a new range of non-leather Formal Shoes designed and manufactured using a first of its kind machine in India, aimed at disrupting the formal shoe market.

Traditionally, the durability of the formal shoes has been dependent on the adhesion between the uppers and the outer soles, this would lead to numerous instances of sole detachment. The new process at Walkaroo uses state-of-the-art machinery from Italy. It uses in-situ moulding of uppers with outer soles, previously seen only in the premium performance wear footwear. The machine is capable of moulding a shoe even with double density, with a soft mid sole and a hard outer sole, where the upper is directly moulded to the sole.

Walkaroo, a homegrown brand, was launched in the year 2013 to provide latest fashion in footwear for everyone. Walkaroo introduced sports sandals at Rs 499 and was pioneer to set a trend of aspirational products at affordable ranges in the footwear segment. The brand grew its portfolio with more additions that included flip flops, sports shoes, half shoes, for gents and ladies. It has sub brands, Walkaroo Oneders for kids, Walkaroo care+ with added cushioning, Walkaroo Toes & Togitoes for Formals etc to cater to consumers across age groups.  The Brand is currently endorsed by Aamir Khan who has himself built a reputation for perfection.

During the financial year 20-21 Walkaroo has exceeded a turnover of over Rs 1500 Crores.
